Purpose:

Cabinet Member report for Award of Contract for Mechanical Services.

Decision:

1.         That in accordance with Paragraph 3 of schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, this report be exempt from publication in that it contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding the information).

 

2.         That the Cabinet Member for Housing approved the award of a ten year term contract to the preferred bidder for the planned and responsive repair maintenance of district heating schemes, communal mechanical ventilation systems, cold water services, sewage and storm water pumping stations and man safe systems to CityWest Home’s Housing Revenue Accounts (HRA) stock, to the sum per annum as detailed in the report.

 

Reasons for Decision

 

1.         The planned and responsive repair maintenance of mechanical services will ensure the Council’s housing stock continue to meet the decent homes standard.

 

2.         This contract will support the Council’s plans to invest in its existing housing stock over the next 10 years.
