1.            That this report be exempt from disclosure by virtue of the Local Government Act 1972 Schedule 12A, Part 1, paragraph 3 (as amended), in that it contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information).

2.            That the Cabinet Member for Housing approved the award of the contract for Floating Support Services to the preferred bidder for the total sum as set out in the report for the period 1st July 2018 to 30th June 2022, with the option to extend for three further 12 month periods at a cost per annum as set out in the report and noted  the total cost of the contract, if all options to extend are implemented, over 7 years.

Reasons for Decision

This re-procurement has presented the opportunity to redesign floating support services and incorporate learning from examples of best practice within the homelessness support sector. The specifications for the service focussed heavily on delivering time-limited, holistic and targeted support interventions to prevent homelessness presentations, reduce dependency and exclusion, and help individuals sustain their tenancies. A crucial aspect of this service will be the delivery of a fluid assessment and triage service to ensure rapid and targeted support interventions, aligned with the Council’s One Front Door Policy and other Westminster City Council prevention initiatives.
