Parliamentary Ducting - Dartmouth Street & Victoria Street

Staff working for Parliament's Strategic Estates are due to occupy new offices in Dartmouth Street and Victoria Street in 2020. In order to provide power and communications resilience to those new offices, Parliament's Strategic Estates have requested that the City Council install new ducting and cables in the street under a Highways Act s278 agreement.

The provision of power and communications cabling to Parliamentary offices is considered to be security sensitive. An exemption from publication is accepted ‘if the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information’. It is considered that the information in this report is of a sufficiently sensitive nature that an exemption can be applied
